About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Urgent Care for a 26-week contract in Juneau, Alaska. The RN will provide clinical nursing services in a fast-paced ambulatory urgent care setting while supporting providers, patients, and clinic operations.
The position requires recent Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience, strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with providers and other healthcare departments. An active Alaska RN license is required at the time of submission.
ResponsibilitiesPerform patient assessments, anticipate clinical needs, collect specimens, and provide appropriate nursing interventions in the urgent care setting.
Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and complete nursing responsibilities according to established standards.
Support clinic operations, including point-of-care quality controls, medication and supply management, and opening or closing provider clinics as assigned.
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other departments while maintaining infection-control, safety, and quality standards.
Minimum 2 Years of Urgent Care Experience Required; Urgent Care or Emergency Department Experience Must Be Within the Last 2 Years.
Current, Active Alaska Registered Nurse License Required at Time of Submission.
Current BLS Certification Required.
Proof of Current Flu Vaccination Required.
Ability to Work Variable Shifts During 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Urgent Care Hours, Including Required Holiday Coverage, and Complete Fingerprint Processing Prior to Start Required.
